Visiting a Patient

Welcome!

Whether you come to OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center for medical services or to visit a friend or loved one, we want your experience to be excellent.  From the moment you enter the building, your comfort is our top priority and every patient is treated like family with personal care.

The skilled and compassionate doctors, nurses, and support staff at OSF Saint Elizabeth set the standard for patient care.  The access we provide to specialized clinics, modern medical technology, and a long list of resources make each patient’s stay, however long or brief, one that will ultimately lead to a full recovery.

Visiting Hours & Rules

To better serve our patients and respect their wishes for visitors, we no longer enforce “visiting hours" within our facility.  (An exception applies to our behavioral health unit. See below.)  We do, however, observe quiet time hours beginning at 8 p.m. to provide a positive healing environment for our patients.  At this time, lights may be dimmed.  Visitors are asked to please be respectful and lower all noise levels.

As a general rule, two visitors are allowed at a time.  A patient or staff member may restrict visitation as he/she deems appropriate.  Additional rules and regulations may apply to various care areas.
