OSF Cardiovascular Care with Bellin Health
Offering a cardiology and vascular clinic, the team also can conduct treatments in the cardiac catheterization lab, housed in OSF St. Francis Hospital and led by the Bellin Health cardiovascular team. This lab provides a continuity of care by increasing access to tests and procedures while reducing the need to travel and long wait periods for appointments.
Cardiac cath labs are where minimally invasive testing and advanced cardiac procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease are performed. This cardiac cath lab is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology used to view arteries and check how well blood is flowing to and from the heart. This provides the care team with information to help diagnose and treat blockages and other problems in the arteries, often without patients needing to undergo surgery.
