A staff of physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and support staff care for patients in the Medical/Surgical and Special Care units, providing individualized attention and state-of-the-art monitoring capabilities.
Patients are cared for by hospitalists - board certified physicians who specialize in the treatment of adult hospitalized patients.
Hospitalists coordinate patients’ care while they are in the hospital and organize communication efforts with the patient’s primary care physician, as well as with other specialists who may be involved in caring for a patient.
Patients age 17 and younger who are hospitalized are cared for by their family practice physician or pediatrician.
