OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center can help you with your dietary and nutrition education needs.
Our registered dietitian provides clinical treatment for patients in the hospital, medical nutrition therapy on an outpatient basis, diabetes education, and teaches a variety of nutrition classes.
Have you been told you have any of the following diseases or conditions? If so, Medical Nutritional Therapy would be helpful as you strive to meet your dietary and nutrition requirements.
A physician's order is required if Medical Nutritional Therapy is covered by your health insurance (check with your insurance plan for details on covered services).
For patients that do not have coverage for this type of service and will be paying for the therapy themselves, a physician order is not required.

Carly Francis, MS, RD, LDN has worked as a Registered Dietitian at OSF Saint James since August 2016. She provides nutrition assessment and counseling to inpatients and outpatients. She also teaches nutrition classes, diabetes education and cardiac rehabilitation.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Bradley University in 2013, and completed her Master of Science in Dietetics at Loyola University in Chicago in 2015. Carly also completed an internship in Dietetics at Loyola University. She is registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Illinois.
In addition to work at OSF Saint James, Carly also provides nutrition education to various community groups, including schools, businesses and churches. She believes healthy eating should not be considered a diet, rather it is a lifestyle in which all foods can be included in moderation as part of a balanced eating program.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys hiking and experimenting with new recipes.
