Inpatient Care
Our Medical-Surgical, Pediatric, and Skilled Care (Swing Bed) unit offers 23 private patient rooms with bathrooms, showers, flat- screen televisions, updated décor, and new beds in many of the rooms. A family room is available for visitors to use during the patient's stay.
Acute Care
Patients admitted to our unit are cared for by Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurses’ Aides (CNAs) as well as physicians.
Social Services is available for consultation along with many of the medical specialties (cardiology, orthopedics, etc.).
Menu service is available so patients can order their meals at their convenience, selecting their own menu items and when they would like their meal to be delivered.
Skilled Care (Swing Bed) services provide extended care for patients who require additional rehabilitation or healthcare.
Outpatient services are available for patients who require procedures such as intermittent antibiotic infusions, other medication infusions, and other procedures.
Skilled Care
Skilled care at OSF Holy Family Medical Center offers a viable alternative to a long-term care facility if you or a loved one are not quite ready to return home following hospitalization from a major illness, a joint replacement requiring additional therapy or an injury.
Our primary objective is to assist the patients and their families with meeting their goals, whether it is to return home or transition to a new living environment.

Billing & Insurance
Skilled care is covered by Medicare and many private health insurance plans. Patients must meet their insurance requirements prior to receiving skilled care from any facility.
Referrals
A referral can be accepted from any health care facility.
