Nutrition Counseling

The OSF Holy Family Medical Center dietitian can provide nutrition counseling to patients on both an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Inpatient

Patients with a written physician order for medical nutrition therapy or special patient request for weight loss, diabetes diagnosis, lowering cholesterol, lowering blood pressure, etc. will meet with the OSF Holy Family dietitian.

Outpatient

Any individual consultation requires a written physician order, which can be requested by the patient or the dietitian.

Patients can contact the dietitian's office with general nutrition questions or information about specific diets.

If you already have a physician referral to the see the dietitian and would like to schedule an appointment please call the Central Scheduling Department at (309) 734-1446. Central Scheduling is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you are unable to reach a scheduler please leave a detailed voice mail and our schedulers will return your call.

Patients With Diabetes

The OSF Holy Family dietitian is also part of the OSF Holy Family Diabetes Care team and provides group and individual diabetes self-management training for patients.
