Safely place your trust in us for surgical care

If you or a loved one needs surgery, you can know that the entire department has been designed around the needs and well-being of our surgical patients and their families.

Who staffs the surgical department?

The entire surgical team, including registered nurses, surgical technicians, anesthesiologists and CRNAs, is here to ensure patients and their loved ones have a positive experience before, during and after surgical procedures. After normal hours, a team of staff and surgeons are on call and available to provide emergency surgery in the event you or a loved one would need care.

Where are surgeries performed?

The surgical services department, located on the first floor of OSF Saint Clare, includes seven pre-operative stations, three operating rooms and three post anesthesia care unit (PACU) beds, where both inpatient and outpatient care is provided.

Procedures

Our surgeons perform a variety of procedures, including orthopedic, general, ophthalmic, genitourinary, podiatry and others. A surgical waiting room is conveniently located across the hall from the surgery suite.
