A basic introduction to strength training and the various types of strength training equipment. Including dumbells, weight machines, and resistance bands.

Additional Information

  • This class is open to all medical members and RiverPlex/YMCA members, with or without Silver Sneakers benefits.
  • Non-members can purchase a 6-session punch card for $20 at the OSF front desk at the RiverPlex.
  • Classes are 60 minutes.
  • Classes will be held in various locations throughout the RiverPlex, and will begin near the blood pressure tables by the track, on the second floor. 
  • Monday and Tuesdsay will focus on free weights.
  • Wednesday and Friday will focus on resistance bands.
  • Thursday will focus on weight machines.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a water bottle.
