Partial hospitalization programs provide therapy-based support, structure and comprehensive psychological care to individuals within a group setting.
This treatment level would be appropriate for individuals experiencing acute symptoms from a mental health disorder who have been evaluated by a psychotherapist.
Individuals participating in the partial hospitalization program meet throughout the week for several hours during the day and return home for their evenings and weekends.
Treatment is primarily conducted through group therapy, recreational therapy and education. Group therapy is facilitated by a master’s level psychotherapist.
Once someone is discharged from the program, they will transition into individual therapy.
