The breast health navigator is the single point of contact for you and your family. Your navigator will be an educator and an advocate who will help coordinate your care, including follow-up appointments for additional imaging, MRI testing and biopsies. They will also be able to answer questions and educate you about any additional testing or treatment you may need.
Navigators verify that referrals are in place, attend biopsies and coordinate appointments and testing. They will support you both physically and emotionally. They will be there for your family members, as well.
Should additional treatment be necessary, your navigator will be there for you throughout your journey. They will work with the OSF Cancer Center and Illinois CancerCare teams to ensure your care is well-coordinated, should you need further services.
Should you need additional information or support, we have valuable resources and personnel who can provide you with the help you need. To reach the breast health navigator at OSF St. Joseph, please call (309) 665-4773.
