OSF HealthCare cancer services and cancer centers in Peoria, Bloomington, Rockford, Evergreen Park, Danville and Alton are accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC). This consortium of professional organizations is dedicated to improving the survival and quality of life for individuals with cancer. This is achieved by setting and raising standards.
Establishing and maintaining CoC accreditation is a voluntary commitment. It assures cancer programs offer comprehensive services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and support patients and their families.
CoC-accredited cancer programs undergo an on-site visit on a triennial basis. This includes a review of required cancer program activity documentation to ensure compliance with the standards.
